The Cambridge Companion to Twenty-First Century American Poetry is also recommended reading for its intelligent, in-depth treatment of U.S.-American poetry at the near-turn of the century. The anthology mentions these Filipino-Pilipinx poets: Paolo Javier, Barbara Jane Reyes, Janice Lobo Sapigao, and Eileen R. Tabios.
Michael Leong's recent publications include the poetry collection Words on Edge (Black Square Editions, 2918) and the critical monograph Contested Records: The Turn to Documents in Contemporary North American Poetry (University of Iowa Press, 2020). He teaches at California Institute of the Arts.
